I. Brief Introduction

School of Equipment Engineering has five undergraduate majors, namely Detection Guidance and Control Technology, Special Energy Technology and Engineering etc. Shaoqing Yang, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, is Honorary Dean of the School.?The school has 81?teaching and administrative staff, including 13 professors?and?31 vice professors, 33 of whom have?PHDS. Currently, the important research direction focuses on the new concept weapon system, intelligent detection and control technology, damage and performance?evaluation, application of micro electro mechanical system, new energetic?materials, electromagnetic effect and microwave application, etc.

1.Ammunition Engineering & Explosion Technology

Ammunition Engineering and Explosion Technology was first set up in 1954£¨Military and Industrial School£©, in 1960£¨Bachelor£©, and was established in 1978 and stopped admission in 1985. When Ministry of Education adjusted the professional directory in 2012, Ammunition Engineering and Explosion technology was restored, remaining as one of the seven existing national weapon majors and the province-level key specialty in Liaoning. Artillery and Automatic Weapons and Ammunition Engineering are the important frames to the specialty.
It was approved to be the reform pilot profession of “Engineering Talents Training Mode” of common colleges and universities in Liaoning province in 2014. There is a Provincial Key Laboratory in weapon science and technology, an experimental teaching demonstration center of Liaoning province, a weapon system virtual simulation experiment center of Liaoning province and 4 off-campus practice teaching bases.
The characteristic of this major is intended to cultivate students with excellent design abilities in large caliber shrapnel ammunition. The professional goal is not only to train the senior talents with applied technology in moral, intellectual, physical, all-round developments, but also guide them to systematically master the basic theories and skills in ammunition system design, arrow manufacturing and terminal effect, also, strengthen their innovative consciousness and practical engineering abilities .The graduates will have the knowledge in analysis and integration of the overall system, theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, engineering design, test method and experimental research, and engage in the work of system design, technology development, product manufacturing, testing, technical management, scientific research in the fields of ammunition engineering, explosive and blasting technology in the relevant enterprises and institutions, research institutes and institutions of higher learning, etc.

2.Detection Guidance & Control Technology

Detection Guidance and Control Technology was set up in 1954, originally named Fuze Technology in Shenyang Military and Industrial School£¨Shenyang Ligong University in 1950s£©. When Ministry of Education adjusted professional directory in 1998,the original Fuze Technology, Fire Control and Command System Engineering, Vehicle Guidance and Control (part), and the Torpedo Mine Engineering (part) all four merged as the major of Detection Guidance and Control Technology, remaining as one of the six weapon professions at that time. In 2012, Ministry of Education adjusted professional directory again, and the specialty of arms was changed to weapons, therefore, Detection Guidance and Control Technology has become one of the seven existing national weapon majors.
This major was approved to the school-brand subject in 2005,won the title of the Liaoning Provincial Demonstrative Specialty in 2007, honored as one of the Specialized Construction Points in the second batch of national colleges and universities in 2008, became one of the pilot projects in the second batch of “Outstanding Engineers Training Plan” by Ministry of Education in 2011.Also, it was approved to be the reform pilot profession of “Engineering Talents Training Mode” of common colleges and universities ,meanwhile, the construction project of college students practice base in Liaoning province in 2012. It is made up of a province-level experimental teaching demonstration center and a virtual simulation laboratory of the weapon system in Liaoning, and two off-campus practice teaching bases.

Special Energy Technology and Engineering is one of the seven existing national weapon majors in Shenyang Ligong University and on the basis of the original profession of initiating explosive devices£¬restored and reconstructed depending on the national commands in 2004. It consists of such practical teaching links as professional experiments and teaching practice, engineering post practice, course design, production practice, comprehensive innovation, entrepreneurship training, graduation design, etc. It works on training personnel with well-founded engineering theory, the solid specialized knowledge system, good engineering practice and innovation ability, and fostering all-round talents of excellence in engineering and techniques morally, intellectually and physically.
After years of construction and development, Special Energy Technology and Engineering stands out its characteristics in military industry and highlights in special energy production and usage. 4.Weapon Launch Engineering

Weapon Launch Engineering is one of the seven existing national weapon majors in Shenyang Ligong University£¬and on the basis of the original artillery manufacturing professional£¬was restored and constructed according to national commands in 2007. The specialty affiliated with artillery, automatic weapons and ammunition of the major engineering secondary discipline and weapon system and using engineering the secondary discipline, and the artillery automatic weapons and ammunition engineering discipline is the key discipline of Liaoning Provincial Committee of Education.
After years of construction and development, Weapon Launch Engineering, setting up military industry characteristics, highlight the characteristics of small arms design and the professional features of advanced manufacturing. There are an Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Weapon System, a Virtual Simulation Experiment of Weapon System in Liaoning Province, and 2 off-campus practice teaching bases.

Information Warfare Technology is one of the seven existing national weapon specialties in Shenyang Ligong University£¬ and was set up in 2009, according to the national commands. With professional experiments and practice teaching, engineering post practice, course design, production practice, comprehensive innovation, innovation, entrepreneurship training, graduation design being the main practice teaching links, the specialty focuses on the cultivation of excellence, high-quality engineering and technical talents in moral, intellectual, physical aspects, with strong information of warfare technology and engineering theory, the solid specialized knowledge system, good engineering practice and innovation ability.

Information Warfare Technology aims to train high-qualified engineering professionals in information assurance and defense subjects. V. Introduction to Master’s Degree Program

Shenyang Ligong University was one of the first universities authorized for Bachelor’s degree program in 1982, and one of the third for Master’s degree program in 1986. In 2013, a Ph. Jiao Zhigang,
Born in 1963, graduate student/engineering master, graduated from Shenyang Institute of Technology with a major in ordnance structure and manufacturing engineering. Professor, master's tutor. He went to TAMK Polytechnic University in Finland as exchange teacher. He is currently the head of ammunition engineering and explosion technology.
Mainly engaged in the research of modern design methods of projectiles and rockets, remote technology of projectiles and rockets, fin stablized technology, simulation of muzzle blast flow , interior and extreior ballistics, terminal effect and automatic assembly technology. He has presided over and participated in a number of national key pre-research projects and provincial and municipal research projects; and has been cooperating with enterprises to undertake a number of horizontal research projects. Participated in and presided over the compilation of ‘Introduction to Modern Weapons’, ‘Advanced Dynamics and its Application in projectiles and Rocket Design’, ‘Handbook On Weaponry’, ‘Reliability ?Engineering for Ammunition’. Qiao, Xiang Xin, born in 1959, postgraduate / master's degree in engineering, professor, master's tutor. Both undergraduate and master's degrees graduated from Nanjing University of Technology ammunition warfare engineering major. Member of Journal of Projectiles, Rockets, Missiles and Guidance.

Engaged successively in the research of End-sensitive munitions technology and multi-purpose ammunition technology and interferon Projeectile technology at the China Weapons Research Institute and Enterprises. At present, mainly studies new concepts weapons and ammunition, endpoint effects and damage technology, weapon systems and launch engineering, and non-lethal damage weapons and ammunition. In recent years, he has presided over and completed more than 10 defense pre-research and support funds projects of the General Armament Department, the Academy of Military Equipment Sciences, and provincial scientific research and teaching reform projects. Currently presiding over the "13th Five-Year Plan" defense pre-research and university and corporate scientific research projects of the Army Equipment Department. Mr. Qu is engaged in studying theories and applications of new materials and techniques for weapon systems, specifically, the preparation and molding processes of armor penetrative and ablative-resistant materials, the ultra-refinement and characterization of energetic materials and so on. He has presided over and participated in more than 10 provincial projects, and publishes more than 30 essays in academic journals such as the Chinese Journal of Materials Research, the Chinese Journal of Nonferrous Metals and other periodicals. Tang, Enling,?male£¬he was born in 1971, who is a postgraduate/Doctor of Technical Science . He graduated from the Engineering Mechanics Major?of the School of Aerospace Science and Technology in Beijing Institute of Technology. Currently, he is a professor?and also a part-time doctoral supervisor of the First-Level Discipline of weapon science and technology of Nanjing University of Science and Technology. He is also a?distinguished professor of Liaoning?Province, and?enjoying?the special allowance from?the State Council?of the People’s Republic of China. He is now vice president of the school of equipment engineering?and head of mechanics?discipline.

Xiang Shenghai,?male, born in October 1960, postgraduate?and?Ph.D. in Engineering, professor, master's tutor. Academic leader of research on modern design method for artillery, automatic weapon and rocket.

He received a bachelor's degree in engineering and a doctorate in engineering from Beijing University of Technology, and a master's degree in engineering from Beijing Aerospace University.

The main research directions are the design of solid rocket engines, the analysis of the flow field of special flying body, the analysis and optimization of the structure strength of bullets and rocket, and the study of high-speed collision and damage effects.

He has won the third prize for the national defense science and technology progress and the third prize for science and technology progress of China Aviation Department. More than 70 papers were published publicly, of which SCI and EI included about 40 articles. Born in November 1963, graduate student/engineering doctor, graduated from North China University in the direction of the weapon system for artillery automatic weapons and ammunition, professor, master tutor. He is currently the academic leader of the Weapon System and Applied Engineering discipline, and the Director of the Department of Weapon Launch Engineering, School of Equipment Engineering. He is a famous teacher of Shenyang University of Technology, a member of the Teaching Steering Committee of the Weapons Department of Liaoning Province, and an expert of ammunition dangerous goods identification technology of Liaoning Provincial Public Security Department, director of Liaoning Province Blasting Association.

The main research areas are: 1) new principles of ammunition, new materials and new processes, 2) modern remote grenades application technology research, 3) weapon system modeling and simulation, 4) new concept weapon principle and structure research.

He has successively won the first prize of outstanding science and technology young workers in Shenyang, the first prize of scientific and technological progress of the Ministry of Weapons, the third prize of national scientific and technological progress, the second prize of scientific and technological progress of the weapon industry group, and the third prize of academic achievements of natural science in Liaoning Province, obtained 2 invention patents and 3 practical patent technologies and 2 software copyrights. The editor-in-chief of the textbook was awarded the first batch of “12th Five-Year” college planning textbooks by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Education in 2013.Hosted 9 research projects.
